Integrations

Connected to what you already use — and honest about what that means.

Every connection below says what it accesses, where your data stays, and how to switch it off. If a page like this is vague, that is usually the point.

At a glance

Which way each connection runs.

Most pages like this draw lines and leave you to assume data goes both ways. Here the arrows are the point: what only reads in, what never leaves your own account, and what goes out in your name.

  • Your bank and your old system are read-only — nothing is written back
  • Attachments stay in your Drive or Dropbox; we hold the link, not the file
  • Card payments settle to your own merchant account, not through us

Data migration

Bring your history across without retyping it.

Customers, vendors, your chart of accounts and your transactions are read from the system you are on now and rebuilt as IC Accounting documents — so your first profit and loss here is your real one, not an opening balance. We support the major online accounting platforms directly, and CSV or a database export for everything else.

What it can access
Read-only access to the company or file you choose, for as long as the migration runs.
Worth knowing
Nothing is ever written back to your old system, and you can disconnect at any time. We map the data with you first, then run it twice: once to check, once for real.

Payment links

Your customer pays the invoice from the invoice.

Every invoice you send carries a link. Your customer opens it, pays by card, and the payment is recorded against that invoice automatically — no account for them to create, and nothing for you to reconcile by hand.

What it can access
Card details go to the payment provider, never to us and never into your workspace.
Worth knowing
Settlement goes to your own merchant account. We are not in the middle of your money.

Google Drive

Attach documents that stay in your own Drive.

Attach a contract, a signed delivery note or a receipt to any record in IC Accounting. The file stays in your Drive, under your own retention and sharing rules — IC Accounting stores the link, not a second copy of your document.

What it can access
Access to the files you pick, so an attachment can be opened by the people you allow.
Worth knowing
Revoking access in your Google account stops IC Accounting reading the files immediately.

Dropbox

The same, for companies that keep their documents in Dropbox.

Identical behaviour to Drive: attachments point at files in your own Dropbox, so your documents stay where your team already files them and under the sharing rules you already set.

What it can access
Access to the files you pick, so an attachment can be opened by the people you allow.
Worth knowing
Revoke it from your Dropbox account settings at any time and IC Accounting stops reading the files immediately.

Email delivery

Invoices and receipts that reach the inbox.

Estimates, invoices, receipts and reminders are sent through our own delivery service, with bounces and failures reported back into IC Accounting so you find out that an invoice did not arrive before the customer does.

What it can access
Nothing of yours. Delivery runs on our infrastructure, in your name.
Worth knowing
Reply-to is your address, so a customer replying reaches you and not us.

Bank connect

Your account, connected — not a file you export every Monday.

Connect the bank account itself and transactions arrive as the bank posts them, ready to match against what you recorded. For banks that do not offer a connection, statement upload is still there and is mapped per bank rather than assumed.

What it can access
A read-only connection, authorised by you through your bank, that can see transactions and balances. It cannot move money.
Worth knowing
We never hold your online banking password — the connection is authorised at your bank, and you can revoke it there or here at any time.

Anything else

The integrations nobody sells.

A supplier feed, a marketplace, a warehouse system, an internal tool built ten years ago. This is the other half of what we do, and it is quoted as custom work.

What it can access
Whatever the job needs, agreed with you in writing first.
Worth knowing
Talk to us about the system you need connected.

Your data

Four commitments, in plain language.

We do not sell it. Ever.

Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not as anonymised aggregates. Our business is software licences and development work, and it stays that way.

Your instance is yours alone.

Your own database, not a shared table with a tenant column. No other customer's query can reach your rows, and no upgrade to their build changes yours.

Attachments stay in your account.

Files attached from Drive or Dropbox stay in your storage under your rules. We hold the link and the permission to read it, and you can revoke that in one click.

You can leave with everything.

Ask for an export at any time and you get your data in a form you can actually use. We would rather be kept than be difficult to leave.

Tell us the system and what has to move between it and IC Accounting. If it has an API — and often even when it does not — we can usually build it.
